Job description
We are looking to hire a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to assist the Cook with ingredient preparation as well as washing and cleaning duties required in the kitchen. The Kitchen Assistant's responsibilities include assisting with preparation of food and garnishes for both evening and daytime services. Previous experience is a plus as this is a fast-paced busy working environment
Responsibilities:
· Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
· Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
· Assisting the Cook with the preparation of meal ingredients including, making ciabattas and cutting salad.
· Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as making sure all areas of food hygiene are accounted for
· Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
· Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
Requirements:
· Proven experience assisting in kitchens is an advantage
· A basic qualification in food hygiene would be an advantage but training will be provided.
· Commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
· Excellent organisation skills
· Ability to work as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3/4 months
Pay: £7.50-£12.60 per hour
