Are you looking to elevate your career in finance? Our client, a leading organisation in Burton, is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role plays a key part in delivering financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts while supporting first-line business partnering for a specific area of the business.
The Role:
As the Finance Analyst, you will:
* Produce Financial Reports: Deliver weekly, periodic, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports, including financial and non-financial data, with accompanying top-line commentary and variance explanations.
* Oversee Budgets and Forecasts: Lead the preparation of accurate budgets and forecasts, collaborating with budget holders.
* Ensure Data Integrity: Manage period-end processes, including journal reviews, accruals, and prepayments.
* Streamline Reporting Processes: Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to improve efficiency and reporting methods.
* Provide Business Insights: Support first-line business partnering with balanced service, efficiency, and standardization.
* Deliver Project Justifications: Prepare initial justifications for capital expenditure projects.
As the Finance Analyst, you will have:
* Qualifications: Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
* Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (Macros/VBA) and knowledge of IBM Cognos Analytics or similar systems.
* Analytical Abilities: A proactive approach to solving problems and driving innovation.
* Communication Skills: The ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels, tailoring messaging for different audiences.
* Experience: Background in financial reporting and analytics, preferably within retail or related sectors.
