This is a field-based role which is focussed on supporting the strategic growth of our SME business by identifying and winning new logo business opportunities and working closely with all operational colleagues to ensure that we deliver a consistent and exceptional customer experience to all new clients. The primary objective is to proactively identify new opportunities and create a substantial pipeline ensuring that you win new logo accounts to achieve your new business targets. Main Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive role: Identify, develop, and deliver strategic sales plans to achieve targets and KPIs. Drive new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and market research. Build and manage a strong pipeline, converting opportunities into long-term relationships. Present proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals aligned with company goals. Support tender planning and responses; daily travel within your territory required. Ensure smooth handover of new clients to operations and Customer Relationship Managers. Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and track KPIs. Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to onboard new business and deliver outstanding service. The ideal candidate will have the following skills: Strong commercial awareness with consultative negotiation skills to meet KPIs. Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent presentation, closing, and revenue generation abilities. Proven success in managing pipelines and delivering profitable new business growth. Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships for seamless onboarding. Market-aware with lead generation, outreach, and networking skills. Sales-driven mindset with experience converting new accounts into trading accounts. Skilled in handling objections and tailoring solutions to customer needs. Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills. Previous experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce). Ability to analyse data to improve performance and margins.
