This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. This full-time, permanent role will provide essential cover across both of our Yorkshire high security sites-HMP Wakefield and HMP Full Sutton-supporting a range of curriculum areas in personal and social development. Site Information HMP Wakefield is a Category A high-security prison for adult men, located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Established in 1594 as a house of correction, it is one of the oldest operating prisons in England and Wales. The site forms part of the long-term high-security estate and houses individuals convicted of serious offences. It has a capacity of around 750 prisoners, with a current population of approximately 630, including about 148 Category A inmates. HMP Full Sutton is a Category A high-security prison located in East Yorkshire, approximately 11 miles from York. It accommodates around 600 adult male prisoners, many of whom are serving long-term or life sentences. The prison offers a structured and secure environment where education plays a vital role in rehabilitation. Learners are supported through a range of educational and vocational programmes.
