Project Manager
We're looking for a Project Manager to join our Kier Transportation team and assist on several rail projects across the Greater Manchester area.

What will your responsibilities be?
As a Project Manager, you'll be working within the Kier Transportation team, supporting the Rail business and help to expand our capability and geographical presence as a tier 1 contractor working for Network Rail and other Rail clients.
Your day to day will include:
* Act as a key contact and establish good working relationships with the client and key supplier for your project, taking a lead where appropriate in communications from contract award through to timely defects closeout.
* Take a strong lead in the ownership of resource programme and cost controls on your projects, managing and supporting the site teams as required. This includes production of monthly CVR and weekly CVR for directly delivered works.
* Lead and support the commercial teams in securing maximum sustainable value from contracts, and in settling subcontracts at a fair level reflective of the subcontractor's price and performance.
* Prepare a Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Plan at the start of the contract and ensure that the project team operates in accordance with it.
* Where applicable take a lead in tackling key commercial, progress or contractual issues with either the Client or Suppliers
What are we looking for?
* Relevant qualifications – degree level, or equivalent experience
* Chartered Member of the ICE (or working towards).
* Proven capability working on Network Rail projects, or in a comparable setting.
* Excellent communication and project management skills including leading and managing technical teams.
