What you will do: - Undertake specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and deliver therapy interventions for clients with complex progressive and non-progressive neurological impairments as an autonomous practitioner. - Utilise analytical and clinical reasoning skills alongside appropriate outcome measures to inform treatment plans. - Manage your own caseload and time effectively, demonstrating responsibility and organisational skills in prioritising client needs. - Independently evaluate client progress and adapt therapy interventions as necessary to optimise outcomes. - Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and contemporaneous patient treatment records in line with local and professional standards, including the use of evolving electronic patient record systems. - Communicate effectively with clients who may have speech, cognitive, or behavioural difficulties, including those facing language barriers, ensuring clear and empathetic interaction. - Encourage and motivate client participation in therapy through well-developed communication techniques such as negotiation and reassurance, adopting an empathetic and client-centred approach. Person Specification: - Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist. - Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience, with demonstrable expertise in neurological occupational therapy. - Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse caseload efficiently. - Excellent communication skills, including experience working with clients with complex communication needs. - Car driver preferable to facilitate travel between multiple sites.
