Job purpose
The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance department in key functions, contributing to Situ's effective financial management by managing daily banking and reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, internal auditing, management accounting, and monthly KPI reporting, while partnering with the business to provide financial insights that support commercial decision-making.
Key responsibilities and duties
* Assist with preparation of management accounts and monthly KPI reporting
* Manage daily banking and reconciliations, including electronic cashbooks; prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end close activities
* Assist with variance analysis and provide supporting commentary
* Support statutory audit preparation and internal audit activities
* Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis; lead or support finance projects and systems/process improvements as identified
* Provide cover for AP/AR or payroll tasks when required
* Follow and support company policies, procedures, and internal controls; perform additional finance tasks as needed, in line with Situ's overall business strategy
