This will be achieved by child, young person or adult at the centre of all support planning and developing strategies that will enable the child, young person or adult to develop skills in all aspects of their lived promoting independence and to feel included in their local communities based on what is important to them.

As the Inclusive Behavioural Support Coordinator you will be accountable for the operational supervision of the team Sessional Support Workers within Bron y Nant, individual's homes and the local community.

One of the key areas of responsibility will be to ensure that you promote, and value 'Active Support', 'Positive Behaviour Support', 'Person Centred Planning' and the 'Reduction of Restrictive Practices' approaches as a central method of enabling children, young people and adults to engage more in their daily lives; building strong relationships with those surrounding them, developing independent living skills and becoming active members within their local communities through delivering high quality care.

As the Inclusive Behavioural Support Coordinator you will be required to support the Registered Manager to:

* Manage the delivery of operational responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with the standards within the regulated service.
* Ensure services are delivered in line with the SSWBA.

The Inclusive Behavioural Support Coordinator will be responsible for supervising the staff team to ensure:

* They put the child, young person and adult's needs at the centre of their care and ensure they have voice, choice and control overreaching the outcomes that help them achieve wellbeing.
* That children, young people and adults using the service are empowered to become more involved in the design and delivery of the service by putting in place communication systems bespoke to the child, young person and adult that will each individual a clear voice on what is important to them.

You will be expected to:

Be responsible for ensuring that the day to day running of the service is delivered in a manner which results in continuous improvement in the service so that children, young people and adults are supported to achieve all they can; they are provided with the right support at the right time; they are safe and are protected from abuse, harm or neglect.

Support the Team Manager by co-ordinating the work of Session Support Workers in an effective and efficient way, for example the rostering of rotas, ensuring Personal Plans and Risk Assessments are kept up to date, booking staff training, be willing to work on one's own initiative, take responsibility and manage any challenges associated with the role.

Provide a positive role model to all team members in relation to conduct within the workplace and give every member of their team the support that they require to do their work in a way that plays to their strengths.

Communicate and maintain positive relationships with the children, young people and adult, their families, social workers, and other professionals on a day-to-day basis as required and build two-way relationships based on trust, openness, honesty, and respect within the boundaries of the role.

Provide workplace supervision and guidance for Support Workers and ensuring that they work safely and in a manner that meets the standards that are required of a Social Care Worker within the Social Care Wales Code of Conduct.

What we are looking for from you:

To have completed an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or relevant subject.

To have or the ability to attain QCF Level 3 in Practice Children and Young People or equivalent NVQ in order to register with Social Care Wales as a Inclusive Behavioural Support Coordinator.

You will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure check by the Disclosure & Barring Service and appointment will be subject to 2 satisfactory references.

The team delivers services 365 days of the year during the day, evening and weekend. We are therefore looking for individuals who have a flexible approach to the working hours to meet the demands of the service.

At least 5 years' experience and knowledge of working with children, young people and adults including those who need higher levels of support and behaviours of concern.

This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
