SEND Maths Tutors Needed ASAP - Hillingdon
About the Role
Quantum Scholars are currently recruiting experienced SEND Maths Tutors to deliver 1:1, in-person tuition for pupils receiving Alternative Provision (AP) / Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) in Hillingdon.
Working as part of Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, you will support pupils who are outside of mainstream education. Many learners have additional needs such as SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions, and require consistent, personalised support to re-engage with learning-particularly in Maths.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, helping pupils build confidence, strengthen their numeracy skills, and progress in their education. Sessions are typically delivered in the pupil's home or a suitable community setting, with tutors responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons and resources.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality 1:1 Maths tuition outside of mainstream school settings
Plan and deliver engaging, personalised Maths lessons
Support the development of numeracy, problem-solving, and mathematical understanding
Encourage both academic progress and emotional development
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

In-person only (home or community-based settings)Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
Effective behaviour management skills
Patient, calm, and resilient approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
Ability to travel across Hillingdon for in-person sessionsImportant Information
