Overview
Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Reward Lead on a permanent basis. This role is open to remote working so applicants can be based anywhere within the UK. The position is part of the Reward & Mobility global team, reporting to a senior reward leader and is designed to be flexible to support either a regional or central Reward Team. The role will leverage expertise in both compensation and benefits.
The Role
This role will support the delivery of incentive activity across the following aspects:
* Fixed reward – base salary, compensation structures, and pay management
* Variable reward – short- and long-term incentives both cash and equity based programs
* Employee Benefits – design, implement, annual reviews, optimisation of benefits offerings
* Governance – alignment with corporate governance standards
The primary objective will be to ensure that reward practices attract, retain, and motivate top talent while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with HR and senior leadership to influence and provide valuable insights and recommendations to guide decision-making as well as being the process and procedural expert across the total reward approach for your area.
This role will support developing knowledge and understanding among senior leaders, HR teams and employees, with a focus on total reward.

Responsibilities
* Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of reward data, market trends, and benchmarks to evaluate competitiveness and internal fairness
* Advisory Role: Provide guidance to HR and management on reward matters within a total reward framework
* Data Management: Maintain reward data in systems, create reports and dashboards, and provide insights
* Survey Management: Lead or collaborate on survey identification, participation, interpretation of results, and vendor relations
* Reward Structure Management: Develops and maintains reward structures ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness
* Reward Planning: Assist in annual budgeting with market insights and collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams
* Transparency and Documentation: Create communication materials and monitor effectiveness of reward programmes across stakeholders
* Communication: Deliver clear communications on reward policies, changes, and opportunities
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
* Process and Operations: Ensure efficient processes and procedures aligned with policy requirements
* Project Management: Manage designated reward projects from start-up to completion with stakeholder engagement
* Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about best practices and legislative changes and recommend program enhancements
* Vendor Management: Interface with key vendors and manage SLAs

* Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree
* Extensive experience in reward analysis and driving improvements
* Proficiency in reward analysis tools and advanced Microsoft Excel
* Ability to challenge thinking and problem-solve; strong data-driven decision-making
* Ability to make robust business recommendations aligned with policy and outcomes, highlighting risks
* Ability to manage conflicting deadlines with diverse stakeholders
* Experience in maintaining processes and driving measurable improvements
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to present complex data
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for non-technical audiences
* In-depth knowledge of reward principles, laws, and regulations
* Desirable: Additional reward specialist certification
