Early Years Practitioner – Level 3
Location: Langport, Somerset (TA10)
Pay Rate: £12.70 per hour (PAYE) or £15.87 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Length: Approximately 3 months
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: 8:00am – 5:30pm or 8:30am – 5:00pm
Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) to join a children’s service in Langport, Somerset. This is a temporary opportunity providing cover while permanent staff are recruited.
This role will involve supporting the day-to-day care, development, and learning of young children within an early years setting. The successful candidate will help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes children’s wellbeing and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of high-quality early years education and childcare.
* Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate learning and play activities.
* Promote children’s social, emotional, and developmental progress.
* Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children.
* Work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and learning.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain accurate records where required.
* Support children with their daily routines, including meals, play, and rest periods.
Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent).
* Previous experience working in an early years or nursery setting.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A caring and patient approach when supporting young children.
Additional Information
* The role is 40 hours per week for approximately 3 months.
* Working hours will be either 8:00am – 5:30pm or 8:30am – 5:00pm.
* Job share options may be considered, provided candidates can commit to consistent set days to ensure continuity for the children.
