Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) Assistant - Fixed term, part time
We are looking to recruit into a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant (SLTA) role, based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital with the acute SLT team.
Our new SLTA will have a varied job role supporting the acute SLT team with a number of different administrative and clinical tasks including gathering background information, liaising with community services and completing face to face therapy programmes and assessment activities designed by the SLT team.
You would be joining a team of SLTs, SLTAs, an apprentice and administration who work across a range of clinical areas including stroke and head and neck cancer.

This may be through direct provision of therapy programmes, gathering background information or collating discharge paperwork to ensure that our care is well informed and smoothly transferred to community services.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
* Good standard of spoken and written English
* NVQ level 3 on diagnostic and therapeutic support or equivalent
* Evidence of CPD e.g. short courses, formal training or experience in addition to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* GCSE or equivalent
* Basic understanding of the role of the SLT
* 2 years SLT assistant experience
Knowldege, Skills and Abilities
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to organise workload and manage own time
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

£27,485 to £30,162 a yearpro rata, per annum.
