Job Description
As a Road Sweeper Driver you will work closely with other operatives and teams on our High-Friction Surface installations across Scotland and potentially wider.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Driving mechanical sweepers in accordance with requirements of the Highway Code
* Maintain vehicles, plant, and machinery in accordance with instructions provided by the Transport Manager.
* Complete daily vehicle defect reports.
* Defects identified will be reported on the day using R2C. This includes checks of oil, water, fuel, lights, tyres, brakes, brushes and cleansing of vehicle exterior and interior.
* Sweeping works will require co-ordination with other High friction surface installation operatives.
* Operations will involve working on High Friction Surface installations on site environments.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the team:
* You should be comfortable driving a Mechanical Road sweeper with left hand drive controls
* Experience Driving and proficiently operating a Mechanical Road Sweeper’s machinery, including Brushes, Vacuum systems, and other features.
* A Category C driving license and a Driver CPC.
* Preferably hold a Level 2 NVQ in Plant Operations (Sweeping, Cleaning, Clearing).
* Candidate must be able to work in a team environment.
