We are looking for someone to join our team as a prep/painter. Your main task will be preparation and painting of parts and panels. A small, busy fast growing, automotive accident repair centre, we work on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles. With a mixture of insurance, trade and retail work you will have different vehicles to work on.
We are BS10125 accredited and ensure all staff are fully trained. We offer flexible working hours and overtime is available.
Job description
a. Paint - to be able to paint panel damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition in accordance with approved Repair Methodology and Manufacturers standards.
b. Prepare new and repaired panels and parts for paint
c. Polish completed panels
d. To carry out such work in a safe and economical paint mix and usage of dry and wet goods
e. To be able to use all paint spraying equipment
f. Follow all process checks and sign off in line with BS10125
g. To observe, recognise and report on vehicle additional damage
h. To keep work area clean and tidy and free from hazards.
i. Adherence to all Health and Safety policies
Skills required
Previous body shop or workshop experience is essential for this role
Current IMI/ATA Level 3 certification or equivalent would be preferred
IT literate - able to use tablet based workshop management system - training will be given
Salary dependent on previous experience and additional training needed.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
