Java Developer Hybrid (Belfast) | 6-Month Contract | Inside IR35 Our client, a leading organisation within the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their Belfast-based technology team on an initial 6-month contract (Inside IR35). This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-performance, data-driven applications within a fast-paced enterprise environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and optimising complex batch processing and integration systems using Java 17, Spring Batch, Spring Integration, and GridGain Database. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java 17 applications for enterprise data processing. Build and optimise batch processing solutions using Spring Batch. Design and implement integration flows with Spring Integration. Develop and tune SQL queries and stored procedures for relational databases. Work with GridGain Database to deliver distributed, high-performance data processing. Support data migration and workflow optimisation from MongoDB to GridGain. Automate deployment and operational tasks in Unix/Linux environments. Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions. Skills & Experience Required Strong proficiency in Java 17, including modern Java features and best practices. Proven experience with Spring Batch and Spring Integration. Solid understanding of Unix/Linux scripting and SQL. Hands-on experience with GridGain Distributed Cache/Database. Experience working with MongoDB and migrating data between platforms. Knowledge of data modeling, distributed systems, and database architecture. Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
