To provide excellent patient care, you will work across the healthcare counter and dispensary, focusing on patients' needs. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a difference in patients' lives.
What you’ll be doing day to day.
It involves providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, ensuring clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations with each customer to ensure they leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical tasks in the dispensary, such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions, while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
3. Complying with legal and professional requirements and guidelines in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
We offer an exciting career opportunity. You should have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services and previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser is preferred.
You must have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent to work in our dispensaries. If not, we will support your development to complete our training within 6 months of joining.
If interested in advancing your career, we can support you in obtaining NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services, which qualifies you to register with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, potentially leading to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Your pay and benefits will reflect your ongoing professional development.
