Wood is recruiting for Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering capital projects based at our client site in Worthing, England on contract (outside IR35) basis.
This is a site-based position, working at the client's operating facility.

Expected:
1. Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
2. Application of Wood and client health and safety standards within the working environment and design process
3. Ability to maintain safe working practices through all stages of a project with a focus on the assessment and mitigation of safety issues through design
4. Working in/leading multi-discipline teams delivering work packages in accordance with the requirements of quality and environmental management systems qualified to ISO standards
5. Be able to manage work scope and interfaces between all engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of assigned work packages
6. Ability to review vendor documents and identify any problem areas
7. Evidence of experience of the management of change
8. Active management of plant changes in a controlled and safe way
9. Understanding of what GxP and ALCOA are
10. Monitoring and reviewing engineering progress with Project Services and Engineering disciplines
11. Ability to be a focal point for assigned projects, managing issues that require expediting or resolution
12. Experience organising, attending, and preparing reports
Desirable:
13. Experience in engineering delivery design/operation of Manufacturing Equipment, Chillers, HVAC, Granulation, Medical Devices, Packaging etc.
14. Integration of design schedule to procurement and/or fabrication schedules
15. Preparing and checking the scope of work specifications, project procedures and project reports
16. Ability to take on tasks delegated by Project Manager or Engineering Manager
17. Ability to produce detailed execution plans
18. Preparing project budgets, controlling costs during delivery and providing detail forecasts for presentation to internal and external stakeholders
19. Forecast manning level to support the contract portfolio
20. Prepare procurement strategies and continual engagement with suppliers and sub-contractors
21. Assisting with responses to site queries from the ‘business as usual’ team
22. Able to engage with multiple engineering disciplines
23. Demonstrable delivery experience through full project and validation life cycle; URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ and handover to production.
