Contract Programme Manager (Defence)
Location: Dorset (minimum 3 days per week)
Clearance: DV required (please do no apply unless you have an active DV Clearance)
Rate: Competitive
Duration: 6 months initially
We are seeking a highly experienced Programme Manager to lead a complex defence programme from inception through to delivery. This is a critical role requiring someone who thrives under pressure and can turn challenging situations around.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish governance, working practices, and procedures from scratch.
* Manage complex programmes and difficult stakeholders effectively.
* Deliver clear, honest communication, even when the message is tough.
* Drive planning, scoping, and risk management to ensure successful delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in Defence or similar high-security environments.
* A track record of troubleshooting and rescuing struggling programmes.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Confidence to push back when necessary and keep delivery on track.
