Job Description
Design Co-ordinator required for a new build Gas Compressor Station, overseeing the project from FEED, through Detailed Design, Construction, and Commissioning.
* Coordinate technical and design processes, design teams, and subcontractors throughout the FEED and detailed design, procurement, and construction phases, monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.
* Manage technical design coordination of schemes, ensuring compliance with the project programme, company targets, and maximizing revenue through quality, cost-effectiveness, and buildability of the design.
* Assist the Project Manager in reviewing consultants' detailed design drawings and subcontractor designs.
* Track subcontractor design progress against the contract programme.
* Coordinate consultants and their deliverables to maintain high standards.
* Ensure designs comply with company and client standards.
* Promote designs that respect budgetary constraints.
* Ensure complete, correct, and coordinated packages are issued to Commercial and Construction teams.
* Maintain and deliver work in accordance with company values.
* Manage subcontractor and supplier design approvals to ensure timely responses.
* Manage the flow of information to Commercial, Operations, and the Client.
* Contribute to monthly programme updates.
* Coordinate design and technical issues with Commercial and Operations teams.
* Manage change control processes related to drawing revisions, construction programmes, and costs.
* Monitor and obtain critical certificates for documentation, completion, and handovers.
* Ensure document transmittal complies with the Document Management System via Document Control.
* File current drawings properly and ensure design information exchange follows company protocols.
* Undertake site visits as required.
* Attend site and project meetings regularly.
* Serve as the Principal Designer's representative and technical contact during construction.
* Monitor on-site work to ensure it aligns with the design.
* Respond promptly to RFIs and TQs from the construction team, investigating and resolving issues.
* Review and advise on corrective measures for design issues.
* Compile H&S files and O&M manuals.
* Always comply with company policies, procedures, and instructions, including health, safety, and environmental policies.
Qualifications
Preferably familiar with National Gas design specifications.
Experience with piping systems, civils, EC&I design, and some knowledge of compressor systems is desirable but not essential.
