Consultant – Planning Specialist (Project Controls) - £45,000–£55,000 + Annual Bonus - Hybrid – Bristol / Corsham
FryerMiles are delighted to working with a leading defence consultancy on the recruitment of a SC Cleared Planner to support their continued growth. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising project schedules, ensuring effective planning and coordination across teams in a secure environment. The ideal candidate will hold strong consultancy skills to help share and delivery planning across there client portfolio in defence, public & private sectors.
Key Capabilities
Planning & Scheduling
1. Expert in Primavera P6, MS Project.
2. Familiar with agile planning tools
3. Proficient in developing, assuring, and maintaining integrated schedules.
4. Proficient in Performance Measurement Baselines and applying Earned Value Management principles.
5. Support the implementation of governance frameworks.
6. Ensure planning aligns with wider assurance and control processes.
7. Proactively identify and manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities.
8. Integrate RAIDO elements into planning outputs and mitigation strategies.
9. Experienced in conducting Schedule Risk Analysis.
10. Act as a Planning SME, providing expert project controls input across client programmes, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
11. Develop and maintain integrated schedules.
12. Build and sustain strong client relationships.
Experience and Qualifications
13. Recognised qualifications in Project Controls
14. Deep expertise in planning and scheduling, with knowledge across broader P3M disciplines.
15. Prior consultancy experience is advantageous, particularly in client-facing roles.
16. Security cleared (SC/DV)
17. Ability to travel to client sites, specifically across Southwest England and ideally be based 50 miles of Bristol.
