First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance on industrial boiler fuelling equipment and associated control systems – test fuel in tanks – report and address any system issues in a timely fashion.
2. Undergo audits and site inspections as required by Team Manager or General Manager to improve standards at all times.
3. Manage the health and safety issues related to themselves and those required by the customers sites, sub- contractors you are working with.
4. Liaison with Team Manager & customers who require service, technical support, proposal of possible new opportunities for further work.
5. Update at least on a weekly basis the schedule for themselves, holidays, sickness time and send to the Team Manager on a weekly basis.
6. Ensure ALL relevant paperwork is returned to the office, including work sheets and reports within a timely manner. No more than 1 week behind.
7. To provide regular feedback of information within their customer base including all potential business opportunities to the Team Manager and Sales team.
8. To ensure strict confidentiality is observed, when dealing with client information.
9. Willing to undertake any other work in any other areas or activities of the business as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
10. N.V.Q Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Installation.
11. C&G Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
12. CompEx 11 Mechanical in Hazardous Areas – Optional.
13. +3 years of experience in a mechanical engineering environment, experience with hazardous areas, fuel installations and tank inspections maintenance desirable.
14. IT skills completing online certification and work sheets.
15. Excellent organisation skills.
16. Excellent customer facing / communication skills
17. Experience working in confined spaces.
18. Experience working at height.
19. SC, DV, DBS clearance and Clean Criminal record due to nature of client and customers area of work.
