Student Opportunities and Engagement Officer – Part-time/term-time
Queen Mary’s Sixth Form College is part of the North Hampshire Education Alliance (a single institution Multi Academy Trust), offering post-16 education in a vibrant learning community. The College employs over 200 staff and serves over 2000 students across 23 acres. The College has a strong brand and reputation with its local community, including local business, employers, and schools. What We Are Looking For
This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives on working with and engaging young people to ensure they reach their goals and progress from College. We are looking for someone who has an understanding of the mindset of 16–19-year-olds and how to support them in work experience, career choices, volunteering and social action campaigns. This role requires exemplary internal and external customer service skills. If you enjoy being at the centre of supporting students, possess a proactive mindset, can-do attitude and are eager to seize opportunities for young people we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
To support the Progression Team in delivering a high-quality programme of work experience, careers education, and personal development activities for students. This role plays a key part in fostering student engagement and progression, by coordinating a wide range of opportunities including school liaison, employer partnerships, and volunteering, and carries a specific responsibility for the work experience programme. The post holder will ensure effective administration, recording, and reporting of all related activity, helping students to develop their skills, confidence, and aspirations beyond the classroom.
