2nd Line IT Engineer (Service Team) –
Ringwood (BH24) | Up to £35K
An experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer is needed to join the team at this leading Managed Services Provider supporting IT infrastructures for multiple clients across the region and nationally based in Ringwood, Hampshire, on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities of the 2nd Line IT Engineer:
As a 2nd line engineer, you will already have experience with remote analysis of issues, diagnosis and support
You'll be expected to work with the customer to understand each issue sufficiently well that you can recreate it, diagnose it or escalate it to 3rd line colleagues with specialist skills where absolutely necessary
You'll monitor and follow up on client's issues, taking ownership to see they progress to a conclusion
What You Bring:
A logical, methodical approach to problem solving
Excellent communication skills – both with clients and technical teams
Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
Confident managing project timelines and escalating appropriately
Full UK Driving Licence
Technical Skills & Experience:
Windows Desktop & Server operating systems
Cloud Services (control panels, Office 365)
Desktop support diagnosing problems
Networking, broadband, VoIP
Mobile Device Support
Monitoring Backup platforms
Remote or Virtual Desktop solutions
Required Qualifications:
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) – C or above
GCSE Science or Computer-related subject (or equivalent) – C or above
Valued Qualifications:
We value experience, but working toward or holding one or more of the following certifications is a strong plus:
Microsoft 365, CompTIA, GTIA certifications
Vendor-specific qualifications (Veeam, Mimecast, NinjaOne, Sophos)
