About the Role
As a Patient Co‑Ordinator, you will join our fantastic medical admin team and will be the first person our patients speak - whether they contact us face‑to‑face, online, or over the telephone. We are looking for someone who really wants to make a difference, whilst remaining calm, organised and friendly. You will provide high-quality support, ensure patients receive the right care at the right time, and play a vital role in the smooth running of our surgery. We want to provide the best service possible for our patients and to do that we need energetic and enthusiastic people who really care about helping our local community.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first port of call for patients contacting us in person, online, and via the telephone.
* Manage high‑volume telephone and online enquiries in a calm, organised, and friendly manner.
* Provide clear, accurate information and support in a fast‑paced busy environment.
* Handle confidential and sensitive information in line with GDPR
* Remain calm, empathetic, and solution‑focused during challenging or emotional conversations
* Perform administrative IT duties, including appointment booking, updating patient records, processing prescription requests
About You
* Friendly, patient‑focused, and able to deliver excellent customer service
* Can-do attitude, calm and collected under pressure and able to handle difficult conversations professionally
* Highly organised & strong attention to detail
* Highly confident using IT systems with the ability to learn new software and processes quickly
* Fabulous Team Player, able to work in a busy NHS environment
