I am a fifteen-year-old boy who lives in the Swansea area. I have a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and ODD. I live with my mum and require support to access activities that I enjoy, this would also allow my mum a break from her caring role. The activities that I enjoy are football, both playing football and watching Liverpool and Real Madrid. Hours of work 9 hours a week, to progress to two over nights a month. Rate of pay. £13.13 Essential: I need you to: • Be lively and energetic, as I need someone who would be able to match my energy. • Let me make my own decisions as I know what I want, and this is very important to me. I need guidance and prompting to ensure that I make good decision and can keep myself safe such as when I am crossing the road, cooking at home etc. • Like football as it is important to me, I would like to be able to talk about it with my PA and play football together. • Have firm boundaries in place, so I know where I stand at all times. Desirable I’d prefer if: • You enjoy having fun, and it is important that my PA is also able to have fun with me. I’d like support with • Accessing the community and doing things that he enjoys such as playing and watching football. • Visiting the LC2 and other local pools. I will need my PA to: Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Be confident, mature and have patience. Be dependable and arrive on time. Be friendly with an easy-going manner. Be adaptable and flexible. Be supportive but not take over. Have business insurance on your car to take clients out. Concerning the position A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
