We are looking for a caring, patient, and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join one of our welcoming, inclusive partner schools in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing within a nurturing and community-focused environment.
About the LSA Role:
* Experience supporting children in a school or similar educational setting.
* A patient, positive, and empathetic approach to learning and behaviour.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
* Flexibility to support a range of learning needs and adapt to different classroom situations.
* Reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive in supporting all learners.
* A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support, including for pupils with additional or special educational needs.
* Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons that promote progress and confidence.
* Help prepare classroom resources and contribute to a positive, stimulating learning environment.
* Support pupils’ wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure a safe, caring, and inspiring experience for every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
