This is not a 9–5 role – due to the complex and often unpredictable nature of the client group, we need someone who is flexible, responsive, and prepared to adapt to the needs of the service. You’ll work closely with the service manager to lead a dedicated team, ensure high standards of support, and help individuals on their journey toward stability and greater independence.

* Provide strong, compassionate leadership to a team of support workers, fostering a positive and resilient team culture.

* Liaise and build strong partnerships with external agencies including mental health teams, substance misuse services, probation, housing providers, and crisis teams.
* Support with recruitment, staff development, supervisions, and performance management, helping build a competent and confident workforce.
* Monitor service delivery and quality, including participating in audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Promote a culture of safeguarding and accountability, ensuring that concerns are appropriately identified, reported, and acted upon.
* Contribute to rota planning and ensure adequate staffing levels, sometimes providing hands-on support when required.
* Be available outside core hours, including flexible working, to respond to incidents, support staff, or ensure the stability of the service.
* It is essential that you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
