GSL Education are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a school in Nottingham. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, this role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural support, promote positive attitudes, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant: Support pupils with behavioural, social, and emotional needs. Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies. Encourage positive social interactions, resilience, and self-regulation skills. Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils requiring additional support. Monitor and report on pupil behaviour, progress, and welfare to teachers and pastoral staff. Collaborate with teaching and support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant: Previous experience supporting pupils with behavioural or social needs is desirable. Strong communication, interpersonal, and observation skills. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour. Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
