Role Summary

We have an excellent opportunity for a friendly and reliable Retail Sales Advisor to join our Brewers Decorator Centre at Filton, Bristol. You will provide exceptional service to customers in our store, helping serve customers and keeping the branch and its delivery service running smoothly.


Location

Filton, Bristol – on Filton Avenue to the north of Bristol centre.


Working Hours

16 hours per week – Monday, Friday and Saturday.


Salary

£10,778.30 per annum plus company pension and benefits. Salaries will be increased on 1 April 2026 as part of the Company pay review.


About the Store

Our conveniently located and somewhat unique store was previously The King George VI pub. It features an extensive range of trade and designer paints, a wallpaper department, protective coatings and specialist paints, as well as all tools and equipment customers need. Ranked in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025, Brewers Decorator Centres is the largest independent supplier of decorating materials to trade and retail customers across the UK.

Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, delivering on our reputation for quality Brewers service.
* Use product knowledge to recommend products and help customers find the best solutions for their needs.
* Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network.
* Develop sales of the Company product range, including wallpaper, paint and fabric.
* Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and provide a comprehensive service.
* Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales.
* Assist with stock maintenance in the branch.
* Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store.
* Keep our Warehouse organised and safe, in line with company standards.


Qualifications

* Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
* Approachable, open and friendly personality – happy to help customers and colleagues.
* Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can also work independently.
* Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required.
* Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within the industry.
* Previous retail experience or product knowledge advantageous but not essential; full training will be given to the right candidate.
