Job Description
Are you a Production Engineer looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join a leading company in the hygiene industry. The main duties will be ensuring that equipment runs smoothly and reliably while reducing downtime to increase overall equipment effectiveness and the longevity of machinery. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and process improvements.

As part of the role, you will be expected to provide rapid technical assistance for equipment malfunctions, carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, while implementing planned maintenance of jigs, fixtures, plant, and other equipment. You will also work closely with the production team to drive efficiency improvements, manage stock supplies, ensure equipment modifications meet safety standards, and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
To succeed in this role, you will need a HNC, ONC, City & Guilds, NVQ4 qualification, or a time served apprenticeship in Engineering or Electronics. Strong fault finding skills in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical control systems are essential, along with experience in lean manufacturing principles. A full UK driving license and proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel are required. Desirable qualifications include experience with automation, injection moulding machines, Six Sigma, and SolidWorks.
