We are seeking a dedicated and personable Dental Nurse/ Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming environment for our patients and assisting dentists in surgery. Duties
* Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
* Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal utilisation of the dentist's time.
* Manage patient records accurately, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
* Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and patient care.
* Process payments and handle insurance claims efficiently.
* Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
* Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming for patients.
* Assist in managing inventory of dental supplies as needed.
* Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures.
* Assist dentists during examinations and treatments.
* Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
* Provide excellent patient care and support during procedures.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
**Requirements:**
* Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or relevant certification (e.g., Dental Nurse qualification).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
* Ability to work effectively within a team.
* Commitment to maintaining professional development and training.
Experience
* Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with patients and staff.
* Familiarity with IT systems and software used in dental practices is advantageous.
* A background in dental nursing or patient care will be considered a plus, enhancing the level of service provided to our patients.
* Excellent organisational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
