About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teacher of Computing to join Ballakermeen High School’s highly successful Computing Department. The department is well resourced and is made up of 4 teaching staff. The role involves teaching Computing at Key Stages 3‑4, with an interest in developing experience teaching at Key Stage 5. Experience in teaching Computer Science is not considered essential but would be of interest if held. Applications are welcomed from both ECTs and experienced teachers.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Computing curriculum to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Support development of future teaching experience at Key Stage 5.
Qualifications
* Qualified to teach Computing at Key Stages 3‑4.
* Interest and ability to teach at Key Stage 5.
* Experience with Computer Science highly desirable.

Things to note
An enhanced with barring police check is required for this post; the cost will be covered by the Isle of Man Government.
Interviews will take place in person on the Isle of Man. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to teach a lesson and given a tour of the school on the interview day; neither can take place remotely.
