Job Title: Project Engineer Location: UK & Ireland (Office-based in bromborough) Travel: Occasional international travel (approx. 2-3 trips per year) Industry: Food / FMCG / Pharmaceutical Packaging Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our UK & Ireland operation. This is an office-based role focused on managing engineering projects from order through to handover, supporting customers, OEMs, and internal teams. The role will play a key part in supporting current operations and future plans to establish manufacturing in the UK within the next five years. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage engineering projects from order receipt through to final handover Liaise with customers to understand requirements and provide technical support Produce and manage technical documentation, including: Engineering drawings Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) Pre-Production Inspections (PPIs) Handover documentation Work with OEMs and third-party suppliers to coordinate equipment and solutions Support sales engineering activities and assist with project costing and proposals Interface with PLC and CAD-related elements of projects Coordinate internally to ensure smooth project execution and delivery Occasionally visit OEMs and customer sites as required International Exposure Experience, Skills & Qualifications Essential Background working with OEMs or site-based engineering teams Experience in Food, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical environments Packaging machinery or systems background Ability to read and produce technical drawings Strong customer-facing and communication skills Desirable: Experience with CAD and PLC systems Leadership experience or potential Knowledge of working with third-party suppliers Training & Development Structured product knowledge training Visits to OEMs and suppliers CE training courses Package & Benefits Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience) Company Car or Van: Yes Pension: 5% employer contribution Life Assurance: Yes Healthcare: Private healthcare
