Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to create a nurturing and stimulating environment. The Nursery Assistant will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that children receive high-quality care and education in line with early childhood development principles.
Duties
* To ensure that children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
* Ensure the safety and well being of all children at all times.
* Support the planning, preparation and implementation of a meaningful and effective early years curriculum based on the Montessori philosophy and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in conjunction with staff, parents and children.
* Promote equal opportunities throughout the setting.
* Support the observation and assessment of children's learning.
* Ensure that the organisation and appearance of the classroom is maintained to a high standard.
* Display children's work in designated areas.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A minimum Level 2 qualification in childcare is essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children and parents alike.
* A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and development.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
