We're looking for a hands-on Lead Maintenance Engineer to join our client and oversee our engineering team and keep our fast-paced food manufacturing site running safely and efficiently. You'll be the on-shift technical expert-supporting engineers, resolving breakdowns, and driving continuous improvement. Working a double days shift, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support shift engineers; act as the main technical point of contact.
* Ensure all engineering work meets health, safety, and food safety standards.
* Carry out and coordinate PPM and reactive maintenance on automated and manual equipment.
* Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults.
* Monitor equipment performance and downtime, driving improvement actions.
* Maintain accurate shift reports and maintenance records.
* Lead CI activities, and support equipment installations/commissioning.
* Provide strong coaching, mentoring, and clear shift handovers.
What You'll Need
* Multi-skilled engineer (electrical bias preferred).
* Experience leading engineering teams in FMCG/food manufacturing or looking for the next step in your career.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
