Midday Assistant - Grappenhall Heys Community Primary
The role
Grappenhall Heys is an outstanding and popular Community Primary School, situated in South Warrington. We have wonderful, well-motivated pupils, an enthusiastic and committed staff and Governing Body, inspirational senior leaders, supportive parents, and strong links with the community. Our Governors wish to appoint a committed, highly motivated, dedicated, and caring person to join our team of Midday Assistants, supervising children from Nursery to Year 6 during lunchtime.
Hours / working pattern: 1.5 hours per day, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, 5 days per week, totaling 7.5 hours per week.
Please note that this is a term-time position, and holidays/days off will not be permitted during term time.
What We Are Looking For:
Responsibilities include acting as an excellent role model for children and promoting the school’s values. You will need to encourage children to develop their personal and social skills through modeled play and promote excellent behavior at all times.
You will interact with children and use your initiative to organize activities. Supervising children during mealtimes, encouraging them to eat properly, and developing independence in clearing away are also part of the role. You will set up tables and chairs, sanitize eating areas, and brush the floor as needed. Occasionally, you will be required to attend Midday Assistant meetings and training sessions, for which you will be paid.
