Your new role
As Senior Buyer, you will take ownership of procurement activities for advancedponents and associated equipment, while leading a small team of buyers. Your responsibilities will include developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuringpliance with internal policies. You’ll play a key role in supporting production readiness and operational planning, as well as driving improvements in ERP systems and procurement processes. This positionbines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, requiring strong leadership andmercial acumen.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Degree-level qualification in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
2. Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement and cost management.
3. Strong background in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
4. Proven ability to manageplex purchasing requirements within a manufacturing environment.
5. Excellent analytical, organisational, andmunication skills.
6. Familiarity with ERP systems and process optimisation.
Desirable:
7. Professional membership (CIPS/APICS).
8. Experience inposite or mechanical engineering procurement.
