Maintenance Engineer
My client, a successful manufacturing business is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer. This will suit a canidate with a strong Mechanical background capable of resolving planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to drive efficiency and minimise downtime. This role has no shifts.
Key Duties:
* Carry out routine and unplanned maintenance work and respond to equipment faults;
* Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and machinery and arrange procurement Of fixtures, fittings and components as required;
* Conduct quality inspections on jobs;
* Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
* Monitor and control maintenance costs;
* Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
* Work closely with Senior Management to improve health and safety policies and procedures;
* Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous flow of production and operations;
Criteria:

Time-served Mechanical Engineer or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
*
Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a mechanical maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
*
Strong practical experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics
*
Basic working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, CNC, or PC-controlled equipment desirable (mechanical focus remains key)
*
Able to work independently, manage workload effectively, and prioritise maintenance activities
*
Proactive, reliable team player with flexibility to support business needs when required
