Overview
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Maidenhead - 4 days on site
Engagement: Contract (PAYE/Umbrella), inside IR35
Rate: £40-60 per hour umbrella
Responsibilities
* Design & develop automation and robotic solutions for production, assembly and test.
* Identify opportunities to automate and optimise manufacturing processes.
* Troubleshoot and improve automation systems, including robot reprogramming and upgrades.
* Work crossfunctionally to ensure operational, safety and regulatory compliance.
* Support NPI with design for automation and bestmethod manufacturing decisions.
* Simulate, refine and optimise automated processes & robotic cells.
* Develop vision/sensor inspection strategies (Cognex, Keyence).
* Apply DFMA, tolerance analysis, value engineering and contribute to costmodel decisions.
Experience
* 3 years in robotics, automation, PLC/robot integration.
* Strong robotics programming (e.g., RAPID) C.
* Experience with Robot Studio, SolidWorks, TIA Portal.
* Vision system integration (Cognex/Keyence).
* Forcecontrol programming & electrical/robot circuit integration.
* Strong problemsolving, communication and projectdelivery mindset.
Qualifications
* BSc/MSc in Engineering.
* PLC programming certified.
* Automation/assembly simulation experience.
* Knowledge of Six Sigma methods.
* Comfortable working with evolving designs and balancing stakeholder requirements.
