Veterinary Receptionist - Newcastle-Upon-Tyne We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Receptionist to join our locally owned and family run practice at Newcastle Kingston Park Vets for Pets! We are seeking a friendly and organised candidate with a passion for providing a service that goes above and beyond, to join our existing reception team. The position available is for 20 hours a week on 4 week rolling rota which will include a mixture of morning and evening shifts and 1 in 4 weekends. For this position you will be our first point of contact for our clients and will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience is provided for both pets and their owners. The attributes required Provide a polite and confident telephone manner and deal with a range of client emotions. Be able to multi-task in a busy environment. Have relevant client facing experience and excellent customer service. Have good communication skills. Be able to work well within a team, with both non-clinical and clinical staff. Be presentable and provide a positive experience for our clientele. Experience using Microsoft word and excel. Previous reception experience is required: veterinary training will be provided. In short, you like to be busy, enjoy helping people and their pets and always endeavour to make a difference. Main responsibilities will include Greeting clients with a warm welcome, both in person and over the phone. Answering phones and managing our digital services including emails and text. Administration tasks including paperwork for hospitalised inpatients, insurance claim forms and daily cashing up reports. Provide clear communication between clients and the veterinary team. Booking appointments, placing prescription orders and recording all client and patient information accurately on to our in-house system. Keeping the reception area tidy, organized, and welcoming for clients and patients. Discussing our bespoke package offers to clients to deliver the best care for our patients.
