You and Me Counselling are looking to recruit a highly motivated full-time administrator with human resources experience to join our busy and expanding counselling service.
You and Me Counselling is a charitable organisation established in 2011. We are a counselling and psychotherapy service based in Hornchurch, Essex that works with children, young people, adults, and their families in the boroughs of Havering, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, and Waltham Forest. Our counsellors and therapists work both within schools and from our own counselling rooms located in Hornchurch, Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest. As from 2018 we are proud to announce we are an approved service provider in the London Borough of Havering.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Experience of working in a HR environment with HR skills and knowledge
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
* Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate the use of own initiative
* Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Experience working with those in distress
* Enthusiasm, a positive approach and an attention to detail
* Outgoing and confident character, able to communicate at all levels
* Good knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
* Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide general administrative support to the development manager
* Respond to correspondence and queries via telephone, email, and in person.
* Book and amend client appointments; ability to manage calendars and schedule meetings
* Receive client payments
* Adhere to and to maintain office management systems and keep written office procedures and finance manual up to date.
* Work with managers to identify training needs across the organisation and maintain training records.
* Ensure rigorous filing and administration procedures and standards are kept.
* Liaise with schools and therapists.
* Work alongside management in the yearly updating of policies and procedures
* Contracts
* Recruitment and onboarding of new staff and volunteers, including organising performance and probation reviews.
* Administer and track employee annual leave, sick leave and other leave entitlements
* Handle employee grievances alongside the office manager
* Other administrator duties where necessary
SALARY
£28,808 (per annum )
Probation period
Your employment will not be subject to an initial probation period of six months. Further details are contained in your Employee Handbook to which you should refer.
HOURS OF WORK: The total weekly hours will be 40 per week. It is expected that the hours of duty will be 9am to 5pm, with one hour off for lunch, Monday to Friday. This role will primarily be based in Barking and Dagenham but will require travelling to different offices where necessary.
Annual Leave: 33 days

TRAINING AND INDUCTION
The successful candidate will complete a basic DBS check, and to be trained in Child and Adult Safeguarding and GDPR Compliance.
