Are you an experienced electrical professional ready to take the lead in delivering vital installations and maintenance across one of the UK’s most iconic cultural institutions? Tate is looking for a Projects Supervisor (Electrical Installation / Multiskilled) to join our dedicated team supporting our world-class exhibitions and facilities.
About the Role
As a Projects Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and carrying out mechanical and electrical installation works and plant upgrades. This hands-on role will see you supporting the mechanical and electrical infrastructure for Tate’s exhibitions and buildings, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely across all Tate sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and carry out mechanical and electrical installations and replacements across Tate buildings.
* Lead on fault diagnosis and rectification, ensuring high standards of engineering.
* Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to meet programme deadlines.
* Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and site quality assurance standards.
* Support Tate events and exhibitions and provide emergency response cover when necessary.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* City & Guilds (Electrical Installation 236) Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
* 18th Edition qualification
* Test & Inspection certification
* Time-served apprenticeship
* Strong experience in electrical installation and maintenance in occupied buildings
* Knowledge of mechanical systems
Desirable:
* Additional City & Guilds qualifications (e.g., Course C)
* GCSEs in Maths and English
* HV/LV system knowledge and AP status
* Health & Safety training
