We are seeking an Activities Director to join our team at Bondcare, located in the UK. In this pivotal role, you will enhance the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that align with their interests and needs, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional assisted living.
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee a comprehensive activities program that meets the diverse needs of residents.
* Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible for all residents.
* Organize events, outings, and social gatherings that promote community engagement.
* Assess resident preferences to tailor activities accordingly.
* Train staff on best practices for facilitating resident participation in activities.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activity programs, making adjustments as necessary.
* Foster a positive environment that encourages resident interaction and well-being.
* Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
* Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar role within a nursing home or assisted living environment.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff.
* Ability to plan, organize, and implement engaging activities tailored to resident needs.
* Compassionate approach with a commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life.
* Relevant qualifications in health or social care are preferred but not mandatory.
