Junior Quantity Surveyor
Due to commercial success and a full order book, we are looking to recruit a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our young commercial department based at our Rochester Office.
Knowledge within Main Contracting would be preferred.
The Role:
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Assisting with Procurement
• Cost control
• Preparing Subcontracts
• Valuing completed work
• Assisting in the preparation of client valuations
• Arranging payments to suppliers and subcontractors
• Assisting with Change Control management
• Assisting in the preparation of final accounts
• Providing advice and forecasts about costs
• Produce and maintain up to date procurement schedules
• Assisting in compiling Cashflows
• Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
• Assisting with any Contractual Notices
• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Ensuring latest Insurances are in place for Subcontractors working on Project
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations

Driving Licence (required)
Ability to commute: Kent
Experience:
• 1-2 years within the Construction Industry
• HNC / HND in Construction (preferred)
• Working towards having a degree in Quantity Surveying (preferred)
• Basic level of Quantity Surveyor methods, take-offs, BOQs etc
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of Construction products and practices
