Rochester (Must drive due to location and early start time) £30,000 Monday–Thursday 06:00 – 18:00 (4-day working week!) We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company looking for Factory Operatives to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on, physical role in a fast-paced production environment. You'll be working with cast metal parts, using various tools and machinery to prepare products for the next stage of production. Duties will include: Fettling and grinding of metal castings using power tools Manual handling – moving boxes and materials Shot blasting (machine operation) Etching parts using specialist hand tools Operating a band saw when required Cleaning and maintaining equipment and workspaces Recording production data on a touchscreen system Completing paperwork to track tasks completed The ideal candidate will: Have access to their own transport due to the location and start time Be physically fit – heavy lifting and manual handling are part of the role Be comfortable working in a warm and sometimes dusty environment Have previous experience in a factory, engineering, or manufacturing setting Be confident using hand tools and machinery (training can be provided) Be safety-conscious and understand the importance of PPE and workplace cleanliness If you’re looking for a physical, hands-on role with a stable and growing business, we’d love to hear from you.
