It is an exciting time at Down Royal Day Care!Due to expansion, we are looking for enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join our growing Down Royal Day Care family!We have several full and part time positions available, ranging from 2-4 days per week (Monday to Friday).Before starting a role with us, successful candidates are required to undergo vetting. An AccessNI enhanced vetting check (with barring list check), GP sign off, social care checks and two satisfactory references are required before commencing a role with us.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Responsibilities
* Childcare, health and safety, working with babies and toddlers, child safeguarding, record keeping, working with parents
Skills and Qualifications
* Qualified to Level 2 or 3 - in Children’s Care, Learning & Development or Playwork. If you are not qualified, you must be willing to commence the one year Level 2 apprenticeship with us whilst working a minimum of 21.5 per week.
* Paediatric first aid, child protection and safeguarding and food hygiene certifications are desirable but will be provided if out of date.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interacting with parents, children and colleagues.
* Paid experience working with children under 12 is preferred.
* A passion for the early years, with lots of creativity, patience and compassion. You will have a genuine desire to work with children and help them learn, succeed and enjoy every moment of their time with us.
* A love of music, singing, dancing, arts and crafts would be advantageous.
* A positive attitude. We are looking for hard working individuals to grow and develop their careers with us and have the flexibility required in a dynamic, children-led environment.
