Calibration Technician - Kidderminster - Full time
A leading international engineering and manufacturing organisation specialising in highly technical systems for the defence sector is seeking a Calibration Technician to join its Maintenance function. The Calibration Technician will support the Maintenance and Calibration Manager in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of site instrumentation, measurement, and testing equipment. The role involves creating and implementing calibration procedures, performing routine equipment calibration, coordinating schedules, and maintaining audit ready documentation in line with internal and external quality standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining precision across site operations, supporting production quality, and ensuring calibration assets and processes remain compliant with regulatory and customer requirements.
Managing and maintaining calibration asset records using in house calibration software
Maintaining calibration equipment and coordinating contractor servicing where required
Monitoring KPI data to assess equipment wear rates and advising on replacement requirements
Managing external calibration processes and reporting overdue assets
Supporting quality investigations relating to manufactured products
Recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification (HNC, HND, BTEC Level 3 or above)
Time served apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline
Proven experience within a calibration or engineering role with strong mechanical and electrical understanding
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience using Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
