Overview
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role at Leader Education in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEN/SpLD) School serving students from KS1 to KS4 near Ashington. The role is a long-term position starting in September, with a Monday to Friday pattern from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Responsibilities
* Support teaching and assessment through personalised learning programmes.
* Work with students who require additional help daily, across all key stages as needed.
* Collaborate with teachers, students, and parents to support learning goals.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Level 4 qualification (HLTA) at minimum; Level 5 HLTA is desirable.
* Experience working with children and young people needing additional help.
* Enthusiasm for education and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
* Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting student learning.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable Information
* Experience with SEND students and KS1–KS4 curricula.
* Passion for delivering a comprehensive and relevant curriculum through tailored programmes.
