A leading and long-established civil engineering and residential groundwork contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join its growing commercial team based near to Verwood, East Dorset.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager / Director, you will be responsible for the surveying and estimating of residential groundworks and civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as the main point of contact for all commercial, surveying, and estimating queries
* Assisting with the preparation, submission, and agreement of tenders and contract submissions
* Preparing project forecasts and cost plans
* Managing and pricing variations, claims, and design changes
* Ensuring contractual compliance across projects
* Producing accurate commercial reports demonstrating project profitability and progress
* Working collaboratively with procurement and site management teams
* Ensuring all procedures and deadlines are met
Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years experience within UK residential groundworks / civil engineering projects
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Experience using Bluebeam or similar construction software
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced commercial environment
