Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Dartford, Kent
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Benefits
My client are a leading multi-disciplinary building services consultancy based in Dartford, is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join its dynamic and growing team. About the Role
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, specification, and coordination of electrical building services systems. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with the ability to deliver high-quality designs across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarms, and security systems
* Prepare detailed design drawings, calculations, and specifications
* Coordinate with mechanical and public health engineers as well as architects and contractors
* Undertake site surveys, inspections, and monitor installation works
* Ensure compliance with all current regulatory standards and client requirements
* Assist in project delivery from concept through to completion
* Liaise directly with clients, attend design meetings, and provide technical support
Requirements
* Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
* Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical design within the building services sector
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, and ideally Revit MEP
* Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant electrical standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects
